The State Professional Development Grantees are implementing a variety of initiatives. In an effort to assist projects, we’ve compiled a library of relevant tools and resources, developed by the grantees or TA&D agencies, on the topics listed below. We will update the resources regularly to include those tools showcased at our professional development events and Community of Practice sessions.
Coaching
Explore strategies for developing effective coaching systems, including instructional and systems coaching, tools for collecting data and feedback, and examples from various states.
Early Childhood
Access resources that support high-quality early childhood systems and services. Topics include inclusive practices, developmental screening, family-centered approaches, and strategies for successful transitions from early intervention to preschool and kindergarten. Materials highlight evidence-based practices and state examples that promote positive outcomes for young children with disabilities and their families.
Evaluation
The State Professional Development Grantees must describe how the SEA will assess, regularly, the extent to which the strategies implemented have been effective in meeting the prescribed performance goals. These are journal articles, resources, and tools developed and curated by SPDG evaluators to assist projects in evaluating initiatives.
Evidence-Based Professional Development
Find guidance on designing and implementing professional development grounded in research, covering adult learning practices, assessment tools for planning and evaluation, and models for engaging culturally and linguistically diverse families.
Family Engagement
Explore tools and resources aimed at fostering partnerships between families and educational professionals. Topics include building partnerships and shared leadership, engaging culturally and linguistically diverse families, and models for family and community engagement.
Fidelity
Access materials focused on ensuring the implementation of programs and practices with fidelity, including data collection methods, selecting appropriate measurement tools, and building system capacity to maintain fidelity.
Implementation Science & Scaling Up
Access materials focused on effectively implementing and expanding educational innovations. Topics include system-wide change, multiple drivers and partnerships, and creating a collaborative culture to sustain scaling efforts.
Infographics and Impact Stories, Guidance and Resources
Discover visual aids and narratives that illustrate the impact of various initiatives, along with guidance documents and resources to support understanding and communication of key concepts and successes.
Leadership
Strengthen leadership skills within educational settings with materials on capacity building, leadership in literacy, and examples from large urban districts.
Multi-Tiered Systems of Support
Gain access to comprehensive materials for implementing MTSS frameworks, including coaching action plans, communication strategies, professional learning plans, evaluation forms, and training resources.
Serving Native American Students
This is the newest area of the resource library—check back regularly as new materials will be added as they become available.
State Systemic Improvement Plan (SSIP)
These resources highlight efforts to align state initiatives and improve educational outcomes through strategic systems integration.
