Fidelity Friday--Integrated MTSS (I-MTSS) and Systems Coaching

This session focused on recent developments in measuring two educational innovations: Integrated MTSS (I-MTSS) and systems coaching. As I-MTSS research continues to grow, schools across the country have become more aware of this evolution of MTSS. Dr. Pierce shared implementation bright spots and common challenges schools have faced in implementing I-MTSS with fidelity.

This session delved into coaching as a vital driver for successful implementation, grounded in research and practical insights from the National Implementation Research Network (NIRN). Participants explored how coaching strengthens competency, builds capacity, and sustains implementation efforts by developing coaching systems, aligning service delivery plans, and effectively collecting and using data. Additionally, participants were introduced to a new Coaching System Template tool recently developed by SISEP to support and guide this work.
