This session focuses on an adaptive intervention coaching model, AIM Coaching. AIM Coaching was designed to provide coaches with systematic guidance on how to use teacher skill and will data to support teachers' school-wide implementation of a set of evidence-based comprehension building practices (i.e., PACT Plus) in middle schools. AIM Coaching has been implemented in two federally funded grants and has evidence of promise for improving teacher and student outcomes. Presenters will provide an overview of AIM Coaching and the PACT Plus literacy practices the model supports. Participants will gain insight into how a coaching model can support schoolwide implementation of literacy practices at the secondary level. They will also learn about findings from recent AIM Coaching studies, resources, and real world application and issues related to ‘customization’.
