Directors Webinar. FLITE STEM and CIDDL & New Jersey’s SPDG–CLSD Partnership

This is a two-part webinar. First, Dr. Lisa Dieker introduces FLITE STEM Coaching—an innovative virtual coaching model that uses real-time feedback (including biometrics) to help educators strengthen STEM instruction for students with disabilities. She also highlights resources from the national Center for Innovation, Design, and Digital Learning (CIDDL), sharing free tools, podcasts, and communities of practice that support educators in integrating technology into their teaching. Throughout, she points to opportunities for building partnerships that embed technology-rich, equity-focused practices into teacher preparation and professional learning. Second, the New Jersey SPDG team shares how they move from a single grant to statewide literacy impact. They describe how SPDG-developed systems, resources, and professional learning are leveraged alongside new literacy legislation, the Office of Learning Equity & Academic Recovery, and a Comprehensive Literacy State Development (CLSD) grant to scale evidence-based literacy practices across the state. Using concrete examples and data, the team shows how aligned guidance, grants, and cross-office collaboration support hundreds of LEAs and a majority of K–3 students with evidence-based literacy instruction.
