Purpose

This project will increase local educational agency (LEA) capacity to support and sustain the implementation of the Montana Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) through distance learning and web-based formats for professional development and coaching support focused on data-analytic problem solving at the systems level.

Method

The project will utilize implementation teams at the state, regional, district, and building level to increase capacity for implementation and create an efficient infrastructure for professional development, technical assistance, coaching, and communication. This project will prioritize rural LEAs and indigenous majority LEAs. In addition, the project will increase opportunities for school personnel who work with student with disabilities to exercise choice in professional development.

2020 Tennessee

Purpose

The Tennessee Department of Education is pleased to submit its fourth State Personnel Development Grant (SPDG). Previous grants have been leveraged to affect significant change in outcomes for students with disabilities, particularly students with specific learning disabilities.

2020 Arkansas

Purpose

This project will transform and expand Arkansas’s coherent system of supports through competency-based professional learning and ongoing coaching in order to increase the implementation of high-leverage and other evidence-based practices at the regional, district, and school levels.

2020 Nevada

Purpose

The Nevada (NV) Department of Education (NDE) is pleased to submit a State Personnel Development Grant proposal designed to improve academic outcomes for students with disabilities to the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs.
