This session focused on how to craft messages that not only inform but also engage and drive action. We discussed and explored best practices for audience engagement, message clarity, and effective outreach strategies.

During this session we discussed how typical approaches to monitoring fidelity may be incomplete when implementing intensive interventions. Dr. Zumeta Edmonds offered considerations for different stages of the intervention process, and provided information about free resources available through the National Center on Intensive Intervention.

Fidelity Friday--Integrated MTSS (I-MTSS) and Systems Coaching
This session focused on recent developments in measuring two educational innovations: Integrated MTSS (I-MTSS) and systems coaching. As I-MTSS research continues to grow, schools across the country have become more aware of this evolution of MTSS. Dr. Pierce shared implementation bright spots and common challenges schools have faced in implementing I-MTSS with fidelity. She also summarized approaches to measuring systems coaching, highlighting one state’s effort to develop and use a systems coaching fidelity measure.

- ECTA State Recruitment and Retention Strategies Database: Ted Burke introduced ECTA’s State Recruitment and Retention Strategies Database, which includes over 120 strategies across six areas such as financial incentives, Advancement opportunities, and grow-your-own initiatives.
