Purpose
This project aims to build a sustainable, high-quality educator workforce in Colorado, focusing on rural and high-need areas by expanding pathways, providing targeted professional development, and strengthening regional systems. Expected outcomes include increased numbers of qualified special and general educators, improved retention, enhanced instructional practices, and better student outcomes for students with disabilities, ultimately reducing shortages and disparities across the state.
The project will be designed around regional collaboratives, strong partnerships, and evidence-based practices, with clearly defined roles and leadership. It will be managed through a structured framework that includes ongoing data collection, fidelity assessments, and stakeholder input, aligned with program measures such as pathway expansion, educator retention, and student outcomes. Regular review cycles and adaptive strategies will ensure progress toward these measures. Evaluation will utilize real-time data dashboards, qualitative feedback, and performance metrics to monitor implementation fidelity, educator growth, and student success, enabling responsive adjustments and sustained system improvement.
